Dedication of the Phoenix Suns Reading and Learning Center
Dedication of the Phoenix Suns Reading and Learning Center
On November 1, 2004, Phoenix Suns players Steve Nash, Steven Hunter and Joe Johnson with Faye Berk, Assistance League® of Phoenix and Mary Ann Kraft, Capital Campaign Chairman, attended the dedication of the center. The Suns awarded the $100,000 Playmaker Award to the Assistance League of Phoenix to complete this part of the Capital Campaign.
National Assistance League President, Suzanne Hurlbut presented Suns’ owner Jerry Colangelo with the National Operation School Bell award. Prior to the Playmaker Award, the Suns supported Operation School Bell annually with a grant that covered clothing for 100 children.
